Quick Apples, Walnuts, and Rum Cake

One of the scents of autumn is the freshly-baked cake with apples and walnuts. Ideal for those who like cakes and do not have much time for preparation.


  • Apples – 4
  • Crushed nuts – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Semolina – 1 cup
  • Raisins – to taste
  • Egg – 1
  • Baking powder – 1
  • Rum – 3 tablespoons
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Oil – 1/2 cup
  • powdered sugar as desired
  • walnuts as desired
  • caramel topping

For the cream:

  • Cooking Chocolate – 100 g. (7 oz.)
  • Butter – 50 g. (3.5 oz.)
  • Sugar – 6 tablespoons
  • Hot water or milk – 3 tablespoons
Apple walnut rum cake


Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Peel the apples and grate them into a large bowl. Add the walnuts, semolina, sugar, raisins, butter, eggs, milk, baking powder, and rum, and mix well.

Grease the baking pan with butter and put in a little flour. Put the mixture in it and bake for half an hour.

For the cream is enough to melt the cooking chocolate in a bowl and add the butter, sugar, and a little hot water or milk. When the cream is ready just pour it over the cake.

Cut the cake into cubes and sprinkle the powdered sugar and walnuts on top, and finish with the caramel topping.
